Effective with applications received January 15, 2020 and thereafter, FCCPT will award a maximum of one hundred seventy-five (175) U.S. semester credits for the five-year (ten semester) Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree awarded to graduates of De La Salle Medical & Health Sciences Institute (Philippines) in the year 2014 and after.
The standard credit conversion of one Philippine unit equals 0.75 U.S. semester credits. This results in De La Salle Medical & Health Sciences Institute graduates (2014 and after) receiving approximately 220 U.S. semester credits for a ten semester Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree. In the U.S., the average for a ten semester, science-based degree is approximately 160 semester credits.
At this time, we do not plan to alter our credit conversion policy for other Philippine universities.
